Epwin Window Systems:
Building for the Future

How Frontier Public Relations used research to connect a leading supplier to UK housing with construction and housing mega-trends.

Construction

Epwin Window Systems is one of the UK’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of PVC-u products, to the UK housing market, including, house builders and social landlords.

Epwin’s brief was to intelligently raise its profile in its target markets, promote the company as a thought leader and innovator, and communicate the breadth of its product and project experience. Epwin was seeking to generate owned and earned content for its digital channels, and media coverage in its target publications.

The campaigns

Frontier PR used its social housing and the built environment knowledge to conduct a series of research projects for Epwin. The research, called Building for the Future, has its own recognisable brand identity and is curated and owned by Epwin.

The Building for the Future industry intelligence and report was created using quantative and qualitative research that provides insights into topical built environment themes and trends that are of interest to Epwin’s target markets.

So far, the research has examined the driving forces behind housing design and build, and the uptake of, and attitude towards, offsite construction by social housing providers.

The results

The Building for the Future research has provided Epwin with ownership of unique industry insights, which can then be used as a basis for high value PR and marketing content.

A summary of the research is presented on the Building for the Future micro-site, where the full research documents can be downloaded in return for valuable contact information.

The reports include relevant Epwin project case studies and product adverts, showcasing the company’s experience and product range.

The research continues to give Epwin’s social media team the ability to create eye-catching content for its social media channels, which has increased levels of volume, reach and engagement across the board.

In each case, Frontier PR has gained wide-ranging media exposure for Epwin in all of its target trade publications such as LABM, PSBJ, Architects Datafile, FC&A, Specification Magazine and Housing Digital, both online and in print, including a number of lead features

Building for the Future research has provided Epwin with a body of work that it will keep adding to over time, with interesting new topical subjects that will continue to raise its profile in its target markets.
