Whitecroft Lighting Beams Into Bristol

Discover smart lighting solutions at the Watershed

Friday, 1st May 2026

Leading UK commercial lighting manufacturer Whitecroft Lighting is beaming into Bristol on 7th May, with a mission to shape the future of lighting.

Hosted at Bristol’s Watershed, The Smart Projects Roadshow aims to bring together people working at the forefront of construction, building design, and facilities management in the South West to explore how the latest smart lighting technology can overcome a range of key industry challenges.

These include sensor-driven approaches to energy efficiency and carbon reduction, smarter project management and logistics, and the solutions-oriented use of data across the board.

Lighting in commercial buildings, such as offices, schools, hospitals, universities and data centres, now increasingly incorporates sensor networks, control systems and data platforms.

These lighting systems integrate with smart and connected buildings, giving mechanical and electrical (M&E) contractors, consultants, designers, and facilities, building and project managers, powerful new data-driven tools.

These can deliver new levels of lighting quality and energy and carbon efficiency, and Whitecroft Lighting has innovated across the supply chain to introduce new smart products and services that meet this growing demand.

The Smart Projects Roadshow reflects a mission to innovate across the supply chain and ensure that the future direction of Whitecroft’s research and development meets market needs.

“Whitecroft Lighting’s Smart Projects Roadshow is much more about engaging with people delivering projects in the South West than showing off our smart lighting tech.” explains Matt Paskin, Solutions and Marketing Director at Whitecroft Lighting.
“We want to understand your on-site headaches. What slows you down, and what smart solutions will make your job easier - from that first delivery through to long-term maintenance.
“Whitecroft Lighting’s mission is to understand these daily challenges so we can evolve our proposition into a complete one-stop and lifelong partner.”

Founded in 1945, Whitecroft Lighting has a long history of lighting the South West of England. Major recent projects have included the interior refurbishment of Bristol City Hall, lighting the famous Aardman Animations studios in Bristol, and the Environment Agency’s Horizon House, also in Bristol.

In 2024, Whitecroft Lighting also developed and manufactured the world’s first LED lighting for use in nuclear energy and installed it at Hinkley Point C.

The Bristol Smart Projects Roadshow will run from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
