NorDan is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of high-performance composite timber windows and doors.
NorDan has always challenged what is possible with timber, engineering its products to not only endure the brutal realities of a Nordic winter – but also the intense corrosive challenges of Norwegian maritime conditions.
This is achieved by combining the highest quality of design, with unprecedented durability, sustainability and safety. NorDan UK first entered the UK market in 1981, initially building a presence in Scotland (where climate conditions best suited its high performance windows and doors), but gradually developed a UK wide customer base.
Sustainability is at the heart of NorDan’s ethos, with timber a renewable and high-quality building material – which over time has grown and matured throughout the company.
Sustainably grown and harvested timber is now proven to be a carbon negative building material, which has been combined with NorDan’s sustainable commitment to energy, manufacturing and other aspects of business operations.
The group now employs 2,200 people across Europe, and in 2020/21 turned over in the region of £58 million.
In 2021, the company launched ‘We Have a Window of Opportunity’, at COP26 in Glasgow, a further commitment and rallying call.
