Omfax first Scottish Your Call event

Omfax Systems have announced that the Scottish Your Call event for customer service professionals will take place at Hanover conference centre in Edinburgh on 29th April 2016.

The event will bring together senior customer service personnel working in housing, along with IT and service delivery specialists, to look at current challenges and opportunities facing the social housing sector.

The Scottish Your Call event follows on from four successful events already held in England and Wales in 2015.

Sponsored by Omfax Systems, Your Call was set up in 2015 as a forum for customer service professionals to network, share best practice and gain insight into innovative new approaches. Feedback from previous events has been 100% positive.

Your Call founder and Director of Omfax Systems, Peter Graddon said: "There has been significant change within customer services over the last few years, with a far greater focus being placed on customer centric service design, automation and self-service.

As an example, research carried out by Your Call in 2015 indicates that more than half of housing association contact centres now routinely manage social media and just under half have a tenant portal. However, there is still more to do. A significant proportion of providers have yet to integrate digital alongside their existing phone and face-to-face contact channels, and more could be done to improve overall efficiency in relation to call handling."

The Your Call survey, carried out in late 2015, reached out to more than 1,000 senior customer service professionals across the social housing sector. The Your Call: The Changing Face of Customer Service in the Housing Sector report pulls together responses from that survey, alongside wider industry trend data, to give a snapshot on the status of customer service in social housing at the start of 2016. Facts and figures from the report will be shared at the forthcoming event.
