Ai2 Limited announce appointment of Jim McNairney as CEO

Ai2 Limited, a developer of innovative, anti-microbial peptide coatings for medical applications, has announced the appointment of Jim McNairney as Chief Executive Officer. Jim will be based at Ai2's business operations near the University's Incubator Building in Manchester, and will be working closely with Dr. Curtis Dobson, Chief Technical Officer, director, and founder of the company.

Jim’s appointment follows the announcement in December that Ai2 successfully raised £250,000 from the UMIP Premier Fund (UPF), managed by North West based, hi-tech specialists MTI Partners, who were instrumental in identifying Jim as a candidate.

Jim is a Microbiology graduate of Glasgow University, and has extensive senior management experience in the Biosciences and Chemicals industries having worked for a number of major corporations including ICI, Zeneca, Avecia and Arch Chemicals. Jim brings broad commercial management experience and significant international commercial expertise to this role.  

In his career to date he has held a number of senior executive positions in Strategic Business Development, New Ventures Development and Sales & Marketing Management, he also brings considerable knowledge of Peptides and Biocidal Products, and their end-use markets
