Established in 2012, the 50+ Awards - which are also known as ‘The Goldies’ - are presented by The 50+ Show and are based on the internet nominations and votes of people aged 50 and over. They aim to find the best organisations and companies providing services for active people who want to make the most out of life.
Since national housing provider Hanover completed their development at The Boltons in Lyndhurst earlier in the year, the 26 elegant apartments have been selling fast, with 40 per cent of the one and two-bed luxury homes now sold in the beautiful Hampshire town.
Announcing the award, Robert McCaffrey, Director of The 50+ Show, said: ‘”This year saw ferocious competition to even be shortlisted, with results based on ratings, rather than the total number of votes cast. That means smaller companies have an equal chance of winning as the big companies, although Her Majesty the Queen did win the 50+ Personality of the year!
‘Congratulations to Hanover, who have won the ‘‘Best 50+ Housing Provider’’ category, against stiff competition.”
Dame Clare Tickell, Chief Executive of Hanover, added: “We are thrilled to have won the award. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our residents, contractors and supporters who voted for us.”
Costs for apartments at The Boltons scheme sees one-beds starting from £165,000 and two-beds starting from £225,000. Each apartment features a large open-plan living space, generously-sized rooms and includes top-of-the-range appliances for high performance and to reduce living costs.
