Forum addresses diversification in housing with second event

A social housing training and development forum has announced a second event to address the issues surrounding diversification and commercialisation in the sector.

Housing People has confirmed its latest event will take place at the newly-refurbished Manchester Central Library on Wednesday November 5, following high demand for its first event in October.

The forum which coincides with the first day of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's annual conference in Manchester, features keynote presentations from several leading registered providers, on the different approaches the sector is taking to tackle strategic issues from a human resource and organisational development perspective.

Paul Dutton, Director of Dutton Fisher Associates and sponsor of Housing People said: “With funding cuts and Welfare Reforms placing ever increasing pressures on organisational resources, the sector faces one of its greatest challenges – should it risk commercialisation?

“There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so it is important that we are able to provide a place where professionals can learn from one another, debate, and share ideas to help them find the right path.

“We are proud to be Housing People’s sponsor – especially following on from the success of our first event.”

Senior Directors from Adactus Housing Group are confirmed to keynote the forthcoming forum, and they will be joined by another leading registered provider (details released soon) to discuss and outline contrasting approaches to implementing strategic change.

Attending delegates will have the opportunity to listen, network and share best practice with housing peers from across the UK.

The event is relevant for Training and Development professionals and will be taking place at Manchester Central Library, St Peters Square, Manchester City Centre, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 8:30am to 12noon.
