The challenge

A long standing client of Frontier PR, Mobysoft has constantly sought new ways to develop constructive dialogue with social housing’s senior decision makers on how to improve efficiency and share best practice.

Mobysoft’s Managing Director Derek Steele explains: “Experience has taught us that talking to senior decision makers is vital to communicating the strategic value of Mobysoft’s solutions.”

“We needed Frontier PR to develop an intelligent and ongoing dialogue between Mobysoft and very busy housing leaders – whilst delivering return on investment. It was a very challenging brief.”

Progress: Leadership in Housing

Using its expert knowledge of the housing market and public relations, Frontier PR knew that any real engagement with Chief Executives needed to be intelligent, high-quality and of real value. Frontier PR thus established a series of leadership and networking forums called ‘Progress: Leadership in Housing.’

Frontier PR’s Managing Director David Innes-Edwards explains: “We knew the enormous issues facing the sector: massive proposed reform, budget cuts and a restructuring of the welfare system. We felt the time was right for somebody to facilitate learning between leaders, and Mobysoft’s intelligent approach to the market made them an ideal candidate to do this.”

David continues: “We also realised that each Progress event should be hosted by one of Mobysoft’s clients, allowing that organisation’s Chief Executive to assume an initiative, select the theme and present a keynote presentation.”

The inaugural Progress event was hosted by Moat Housing association in London, followed by a second event at Trafford Housing Trust in Manchester.

The Benefits

“Progress has been a big success for everyone involved”, explains Derek. “The first two events exceeded our expectations both in terms of numbers of Chief Executives present and the value they got from the event”.

“Progress was also incredibly well received by the attending Chief Executives who provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, and proved to be a very useful experience for our host clients. Progress hit the right note at the right time, meshing perfectly with Mobysoft’s ‘housing intelligence’ ethos and allowing everyone involved to benefit.”
